  1. Kind of, I feel a little bit in my own skin after seeing how celebrities can stand up for themselves and also aspire to be curvy women too.

    Yes, definitely.

  2. I'm not the kind of person who has ever been influenced to that degree by pictures of celebrities, though I know plenty of woman and girls who are, and I think this sort of exercise is really useful when trying to explain how the media manipulate us.
On the whole they do provide an unattainable model; velvety skin without pores, bodies without need of veins and arteries or folds in skin that allow our joints to move. If you really believed that's how woman looked - and should look - it could cause real problems.

  3. I accept im not the media perfect image, but i am happy the way i am, and would be offended if someone took my picture then felt the need to edit it to make it more acceptable

Yes i do, not everyone is fortunate enough to have a make up artist and stylist at there beck and call and even when the celebs have that the media still feel the need to edit the pictures they take

  4. Personally I don't feel better as I'm not affected by the media's bizarre idea of perfection, but I hope other people do feel better if they have been misled by magazines and ads.

And of course they do - if even those chosen to be models etc have to be touched up to look like this, how can anybody ever manage it in real life?
